About

About me.

Hello, my name is Laura Quint, I am 25 years old and have been active in equestrian sports since I was 13 years old. My breakthrough came in 2015, this with my horse Velázquez (by Krack C), and when we won a Silver medal for Teams at the 2015 European Junior Championships and in the same year also a bronze medal at the National Junior Championships.

At the end of 2015 I made my transition to the Young Riders, but had to take a brake in 2016, to complete my high school.

After obtaining my diploma, pre-university certificate and a 3 month study orientation, I decided to follow my heart, and turned my passion and love for horses into my daily profession.

At the 2018 European Championships Young Riders I succeeded once again to win Team Silver and a Bronze medal at the Nationals. This time with my new prodigy Edison (v. Johnson).

In 2020 I made the switch to the Grand Prix U25 and I am doing my utmost best to get in the National Team, with the ultimate goal of also being allowed to participate in the European Championships in the U25.

TRAINING AND COMPETITION ACCOMPANIMENT

After gaining my pre-University degree I decided to follow my heart and love, the Equestrian sport. Where, next to my personal ambition to realize the biggest possible achievements in the sports, I will train and accompany young and talented dressage riders.

In order to comply with the rules and regulations as issued by the Royal Dutch

Equestrian Federation (KNHS) I had to follow another 18 month training and for which I graduated in 2018, on the 4th level as declined by the National Riders Education Platform (ORUN).

As a KNHS acknowledged trainer I’m not only limited to riding techniques, but I’ll also be allowed to apply my knowledge about competition preparation, riding-fitness and horse wellbeing.
